Almost a new year, but for sure a new post

2009 has been, to say the least, an interesting year. I've learned quite a lot about photography and have done some interesting shoots. The picture above is part of a fashion shoot I did during the Pink Christmas event. Respect to the models who had to endure sub-artic temperatures!

My first colour picture!

Vondel Park, Amsterdam, Wildlife photography

Surprisingly enough, the Vondel Park is a great place for Wildlife photography. You'll find a huge variety in species, some common and some extremely rare. I was lucky when I passed a small herd of 'homo germanium', these could once be seen year round in large numbers but have changed their migration patterns.

Due to global warming these species now spend, autumn, winter and spring in the east. Only to migrate to their feeding and breeding grounds in Vondelpark during a couple of days in summer. For the male on the right side of the picture this might be one of the last summers in Vondel Park since he is obviously suffering from a severe case of Spina bifida.

And off they went, content and knowing that they've found a new friend.

The police force in Osdorp in action, this officer stopped when he saw these two gentlemen struggling to roll a proper spliff and came to their rescue. After a demonstration of proper weed spread and tight rolling, both where sent on their way.

Another one, more bikes! I am starting to like taking these kind of action photo' s, am not to happy about the camera angle though.

Sunday June 14, Osdorp Triathlon

Nice and sunny day so time for some pictures, the Osdorp Triathlon to be exactly. Nice to take pictures of something else then the usual waterdrops and Amsterdam wildlife. What amazed me was the number of people with DSLR's and decided to do a little report on people and their DSLR's. More later........
